WADSY is dedicated to fostering talent and building confidence in young people, from primary-aged children through to teens. Our youth group operates on a fundamental ethos of total inclusion: every young person who wants a part in a show will get one, regardless of prior experience, skill level, or additional needs.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our **WADSY & Fire&Chill End of Term Community Fundraiser** on Friday!

With an incredible **200–250 people** joining us throughout the evening, it was fantastic to see our community come together to celebrate the end of term while supporting **WADSY** and **Fire&Chill Youth Group**.

From the bouncy castles, Junior Makers Market, face painting, ponies, games and raffles to the amazing BBQ (where almost **200 burgers and sausages** were served!), there was something for everyone. A special well done to our talented **WADSY Juniors** for their fantastic performance—and to Dan and Banjo for being such good sports in the sponge stocks! 😂💦

A massive thank you to our wonderful sponsors, **Remarkable** and **J2B Logistics Ltd**, for sponsoring the bouncy castles, and to every volunteer, performer, business, prize donor and supporter who helped make the event such a success.

Leyah began her musical theatre journey five years ago and quickly fell in love with performing. Since then, she has taken on a variety of memorable roles, including Miss Hannigan in Annie, Jan in Grease, and Mrs Wormwood in Matilda. She is thrilled to have recently been cast as Paulette in Legally Blonde. Alongside performing, she takes singing lessons and is currently working towards her Grade 5 qualification in Musical Theatre. She has also attended West End Musical Theatre, where she continued to develop her skills and passion for the stage. She is excited to be part of this production and can’t wait to perform for audiences.

“ Playing Killer Queen in We Will Rock You has been such an incredible experience. I love being able to belt out some of my favourite Queen songs that I’ve been listening to since I was little. The choreography is phenomenal, the harmonies are crisp and powerful, and the whole show is packed with energy—you’re going to love it!
This is my first production with WADSY, and all I can say is that I wish I’d joined sooner. Everyone has been so welcoming, friendly, and supportive, and I feel incredibly lucky to now be part of the WADSY family.”

Courtney has been part of Wadsy since 2023, where she made her debut as Kelsi in High School Musical. She then took on the role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde and most recently performed as Katalin Hunyak, one of the Cell Block Six, in Chicago. Alongside performing, Courtney is also a Young Leader at the Junior Wadsy sessions on Fridays.

Wadsy is such an incredible place where I feel truly confident. I’ve been involved in musical theatre since I was five years old, but Wadsy has given me some of the best opportunities I could ever have imagined. To now be playing Scaramouche in We Will Rock You and performing alongside a live band is an absolute dream, singing some of the greatest rock songs ever written. Please come and watch (and sing along to!) We Will Rock You — it’s going to be an amazing show!

Exciting news!! We have a West End Star coming to do a WWRY workshop with us on Saturday 6th June! This will also be a much needed fundraiser for our show, so please spread the word and get your friends and family to come and join in the fun!

“Hi, I am Toni, and I am going to be playing Galileo in the new production of We Will Rock You.”

Toni has been a part of WADSY since 2023. She first appeared in High School Musical as Taylor McKessie, followed by Legally Blonde as Brooke Wyndham, and most recently Chicago as Pop! (one of the Cell Block Six).

Alongside performing, Toni is also a young leader at the junior WADSY sessions on a Friday!

“WADSY is such an amazing group and space for exploring musical theatre and developing both confidence and ability in all aspects of musical theatre.”

She describes the group as “amazing and constantly growing,” and encourages others to get involved
